Brenda C. Wright

Wright began her photographic journey in southwestern Virginia in the sixties and continues today. Her work has been juried in shows in 12 states and Japan. Her vivid photographs, with their combination of formal design and sublimated humor, explore the "elemental female" and the domesticity of the huge variety of roles that engage women. The complexity of the subject matters seems flawless with the simple, clearly focused design that pervades her work.
